Thursday Camping..?

Hello!

Myself and 3 mates are travelling up from Edinburgh to work rockness, the training is at 11am on the friday morning, and we don't fancy having to travel in that early, what are the options for camping/staying somewhere near rockness? Is it true that you can pitch up in Inverness town centre the night before?

its a 10 minute walk into town from there

have to stay travelode this year dont think we are allowed back
