Castle Donington Amenities

Hey folks.

I'm working at the fest this year (never been before).

You probably all know this already but I thought I'd just let you know that Castle Donington is ready for your arrival.

The Co-op is fully stocked with mountains of beer and cider. There are walls filled with hangover cures, All day breakfast in a can. Pot noodles. Camping gear.

AND apparently the shop is laying on a £1 each way shuttle bus service.

Also the Tudor pub just up the road from Co-op is welcome to Download festival goers and are changing the menus especially. Pints are very reasonable and the staff are lovely. (can you tell I had me dinner there earlier?!) I told them I'd give em a shout on here too. Also their brekkies should be pretty fine too.

Currently the site is good to firm if a bit wet underfoot on arrival to the main gate into the Camping Village and there was a lovely sunset earlier.

Come and say hello at the Strumpets with Crumpets stall too. Yours truly will be working there. Hopefully see some of you at the meet. Be gentle with me...its my first time at this fest.

Hi,

Some additional info for the campers;

Theres two Co-ops in the village (one next tudor is bigger) and smaller one (on the main shopping street). The smaller one is normally open later. Id buy beer before arrival into donington if you can.

Theres a chippy on the main shopping street and another hidden away of the main street (Castle Pizza) do awesome chicken tikka kebab in nan bread.

Tudor does food, has tvs (if your into football) and espresso machine. Tylers do take away coffee/tea, breakfast and lunch. Theres a chinese near the turks (usually alright) and two curry places on main street.
