New camera

Not sure whether this is the place to ask, but it's always worth a go.

My old camera has died, so I need a new one pretty quick. I want a digital, reasonably cheap point and shoot (£60 -£75 sort of range) preferably with optical and digital zoom.

The important thing is I want one that doesn't have a delay of a second or so between pressing the button and it actually taking the picture....my old one did that, so I had lots of pics that I hoped would be great but always turned out to be not quite right (lots of the dogs rear end when I'd wanted him the right way round and smiling for example!)

I'd rather not have loads of great Glasto moments that the camera didn't quite catch in time.

If anyone has any recommendations, they'd be gratefully received.

Well, for £60 or so, the one below should be fine as a simple point and shoot...optical zoom isn't spectacular, so mainly for quick snaps of stuff that you are right beside....but at £60 you aren't really going to get much better...

Thanks for the linky. That does look reasonable.

It's the slight time delay bit that I'm bothered about more than anything, but nothing tells you in the blurb whether it does it. Guess it'll be a matter of pot luck!

these are a bit of a bargain for something with this much zoom and they take great pics - not much bigger than a compact either.

Thanks for that....not being very technically minded, I didn't really know what the shutter delay meant in real terms
