You could say not many original acts that haven’t headlined tons of times between them across Europe already
Green day will never play mad cool again - muse headlined 3 years ago so LP might be the only one they should have of those 3
It was more tongue in cheek than dumb but nevermind.
the rest of my comment still stands, which is the main crux of it as it’s all the part of the comment relevant to Slowthai
Only ever seen them once and that was supporting The Killers at BST in 2017. I used to really like them back in the day but for various reasons had never seen them live.
From memory, I was really disappointed by them. It might have been because at the time they were one of the few bands I like but had never seen live and so my expectation and excitment of seeing them was set to high. They just seemed like an average cover band to me even if they wereplaying their own material. In my head, I had them badged as a "synth band" so was expecting it to be more electronic but what I got was a fairly standard drums/guitar band with little to no key board action.
Maybe they always had a standard band live set up and sound, I just don't know. As a huge Depeche Mode fan, I was aware of their change in sound as the years went by but for some reason in my mind I still expected Tears to Fears to sound like they did on a Now album or Top of the Pops from when I was a kid 😄
However, there is no doubting they have a fine set of songs.
