Word was today could be the day Rangers were finally liquidated but by the looks of things they'll limp on till the end of the season before going out of business. It's only a matter of time now.

I've not been following things closely, but I thought there was one 100% acceptable offer on the table (from a yank) and that the 'Blue Knights' (should be called the Blue Thieves ;)) were being urged to make a better offer by the administrators?

Preferred bidder finally announced

"Mr Miller’s bid involves selling the club’s assets - including Ibrox, Murray Park and the playing squad - to a new company for £11.2m before most likely liquidating Rangers FC plc."

Sounds like an asset stripping exercise. It'll be interesting to see if Miller comes under the due diligence that Whyte didn't in terms of whether he is "fit and proper".

Looks like a decade of cheating is finally coming to a close:

http://news.stv.tv/s...jected-by-hmrc/

As predicted by many, months ago, liquidation is now looking very likely.

Rangers have failed in their attempt to offer creditors a pence in the pound deal after HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) indicated it would reject it.

The Ibrox club had offered those owed cash a reduced payment deal funded by an £8.5m loan from a consortium led by Charles Green.

On Tuesday, administrators Duff and Phelps confirmed they now expected HMRC to refuse the deal at a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) vote on Thursday afternoon.

Mr Green has previously stated that should the CVA fail his offer goes into an "automatic mode" to carry out a 'newco' switch at the Ibrox club, where all assets are sold to a new business entity for £5.5m and Rangers FC plc, incorporated in 1899, is liquidated.

I'm still sceptical about "The Rangers" playing in Division 3. I really hope that this is what's going to happen but I think the authorities will be bending over backwards to get them either in the SPL or a newly formed second tier.

They are lucky to be getting into Division 3 having bypassed the usual application process and not having to show 3 years accounts etc.

The fans have overcome the despotic wishes of the cabals of the SPL and SFA. It's like the Arab Spring only colder and with more rain.
