alcohol in the arena

can you take booze with you anywhere? say could i just put some cans in my bag from my tent and walk right up to the pyramid

you can take it anywhere there is no separate 'arena' only camping zones

No offence but i love to see this question posted.

It reminds me of my first few Glastonburys. I was always amazed that i could take a bag of beer everywhere on site and just sit drinking anywhere, the market stalls, the stages, the cafes and the bars. It is so strange to be somewhere like the Pussy Parlor and a waitress says "what would you like to drink" and you reply "nothing thanks i have a bag of cans with me" :-)

Manners however dictate that it might be rude to wonder into a bar or other place serving alcohol swigging your own, but anywhere else and everywhere else is fine.

Once your in the gate, your in. The places where the music happens are not segregated.

It's all about the monorail - UNTIL you try the subway. the subway is so much quicker...

But yes, you can take everything anywhere... not like stupid IOW or their ilk, no one forcing you to buy their crappy carling or similar!

BUt still stay away from the crappy Tuborg on draught though.

Head to the Real ALe Bar and the Bimble Inn if you can to indulge in PROPER yummy alcohol. I dont obviously need to even worry about you hopefully knowing you MUST head to the Cider Bus in A Market and at some point no doubt you will join the throngs at the Brothers Bar in West Holts field.

haha nice replies yeah its my first glasto... used to having to sneak cans down my pants at Leeds

since were on the topic of booze, anyone got any tips on keeping cans cold? Managed to get 45 cans of strongbow for £20 in tesco (and asda) - the offers on till tuesday if anyones interested =]
