Are they totally strict about this, I for the life of me can't remember from previous years!

I wasn't going to go this year but I'm pretty tempted now and have a chance of a ticket but don't want to spend 200 quid on ticket and then travel costs from Edinburgh just to end up being refused.

I appreciate that they want to reduce ticket touting but if the ticket is authentic, would they actually turn me away having travelled all the way down?

Any advice would be appreciated as I've tried every other avenue to try and get a ticket legitimately (press, hospitality, comps etc...)!

I get a crew pass which doesn't have a photo on it, so I can't say from personal experience how strict they are, but I know last year a friend got in with someone else's ticket and because the photo was so blurry and she has the same attributes as the ticket holder (blonde shoulder length hair, white skin, same build) she said they didn't question her at all.

This year for the first time my sister has had to buy a ticket and her photo is really clear, so another person may not be able to use it.

If you're a guy and the person you buy it from has hair in the photo and you have shaved head or vice versa then that could make you look different to the photo. Just try to buy from someone similar looking to yourself.

However, the advice you will get from Glastonbury is that if you aren't the ticket holder & you get found out then you will be refused entry, so I suppose at the end of the day you are still taking a chance no matter how similar you are to the person in the photo.

Most years they have hardly looked at mine but last year they seemed to really study the photo!
