I have sandals as its going to be hot and dusty, and wellies for insurance and those weekend thunderstorms.

I am really struggling what to bring to wear in the evening when it gets a bit cooler, and assuming its dry. I have trainers/walking shoes but

1) heavy to carry in rucksack, unless I wear them to trek onto site on Thursday

2) very unstylish, although I do find by the evening I just end up wearing loads of layers and looking like michelin woman anyhow

What's everyone else doing?

Going to wear flip-flops and my trusty old school Adidas. They're falling apart and 20 years old, but they're semi-waterproof and as comfy as hell.

Just heard the weather report and fingers very, very tightly crossed I don't think we'll need wellies this year!

Docs. My trusty Docs. And a pair of sandals in case it really seriously gets warm. Docs are good for all weathers though; I had some last year that finally died on me after about 15 years of wearing. Sadface.

I don't know about down on the farm, but here is Brizzle it's been pretty nippy in the evenings and early mornings, so I'm taking Birkenstocks and wellies and also trainers just incase. I feel like I want to take my walking boots too, but that would be a lot of heavy footwear and I know that last year I only wore wellies and Birkenstocks. I was one of the mad people who took a child and had to get up and seek out milk when the mud was still wet.
