Completely agree. All of their stuff is absolute quality, Rob Pollard is a genius singer songwriter.

Have you heard the news about them reforming for some gig in L.A? Heres hoping that they play the U.K some time. I would be extremely happy if they did.

Dilinger sounds especially fun. They're playing Concorde 2 in November, a mate is trying to get me to go. Definitely want to go see some of that shit live

Obviously being a nipper i didn't experience them the first time round, but I can't believe they're only known for epic and easy, tragic. I agree with you about album of the year, stripsearch is a million miles away from the early stuff but is fantastic! (Also penned by john hudson) Pristina is the definitive swan song for any band, although i feel naked infront of the computer sounds a lot better on the youtube videos (for some reason the song seems to have a lot more bite).

Oh and tatey, I may have only been a nipper the first time round but I saw them preform with both chuck and mike in april! Shame everything at home has gone fooking heywire otherwise my arse would be in spain for bilbao this weekend, c'est la vie!

Enjoy mate, it's not a favourite by critics but I can't fault it. I love the whole album but feel the stand out tracks are Ricochet ,Evidence, Gentle art of making enemies, Cuckoo for Caca and Just a man (You have no idea how hard it is just to pick five!).

Also Mike Patton (the singer) has a new solo album entitled mondo cane. Be warned, this is nothing like faith no more lol, it's him working with a orchestra reworking classic italian pop songs from the 50s/60s. I haven't heard the originals but it was quite an enjoyable listen.

Caught some of Django Django playing in the Bimble Inn whilst having late night nibbles at The Park. They sounded great and haven't disappointed since I got back. Definitely going to seek out more from them.

Try and listen to team sleep's stuff. Songs i recommend: Formant, Fri night cleanup, China, J.K (just kidding).

Team sleep are chino Moreno's (singer from deftones) side project. It's Ambient acoustic music

I got Bee Thousand, as someone said it was the greatest indie album ever .... I just don't get it. Are they purposefully trying to sound incompetent or does it come to them naturally..?

I promise I'll give it another couple of listens, but at the moment I can safely say I hate it.

If you're into Folk music in anyway get involved with the album I See A Darkness by Bonnie 'Prince' Billy.

An absolute masterpiece.
