barsie
Heading off to a festival and need a tent. Was thinking of a blackout tent. Seems like a good idea will be able to sleep off the hangover in the morning a lot easier if it's dark. Anyone had one? What are the pros and cons? Sparticus
i'd say a con is that if it's sunny, you will be fooked! Sleeping in a tent normally in the sun is bad, but that would be horrific although the amount you'd sweat would get rid of your hangover a damn sight quicker lol. TheSeventhOne
I thought they were supposed to block the sun out?
Tom
I've used one for Reading twice and Glastonbury this year, they do the job of keeping the light out really well. In the day though they're f**king hot, and you get woken up really early if it's a sunny day (although you get this with any tent really). mr_bizarre
It's a gimmick, the only kind of tent that would give you extra cool hours inside is a canvas tent (like a Bell Tent). But these are heavy (though not that bad with a trolley) and expensive (Around £250 but a great investment that'll last for yeeears!)
