Inn? In? INN? IN?

No one cares about you taking drugs in.... I hope you get stopped on the gate and spend the weekend in a cell with all the others drug taking no hopers!

And just so you know there are loads of police dogs on the gate with a keen nose.

Aarron, just to be clear im pretty sure that nowhere near 90% of people will be taking a bit of weed in. There are many a market stall that sell legal highs in there, therefore not many people would bother risking it (I'd suggest u stick to the legal high stalls anyway because anybody found is ejected immediately and reported to the police). When you park or get a coach you walk up to the campsite area where you walk through gates and you have to open up your bags to show the marshalls on duty that you have no candles, fireworks, glass bottles bla bla bla and they will ask you if you have any drugs on you. Every year I have said no (and I never take any) and you are simply let through as there are so many people they haven't got time to care. BUT there are police and sniffer dogs and they do randomally pull people over to give them a proper search (although this has never happened to me I have seen it every year). There is no security when you go into the campsite/arena and nobody will body search you there. Although entry in to the arena will involve males touch searching you if it is quiet (males can only touch search male festival go-ers not female). Be warned though, over the whole weekend you will see police officers and dogs walking around.

AaronB you've gotta ask is it worth being dumped out of the event for? I don't do drugs mate but even if I did I'd think twice about taking it to a live music event where the police will be looking for it - you've shelled out nearly £180 if you're camping and you want to risk that without seeing a band?

As Indie says I've seen people get pulled for weed and they just confiscate it (if its a small amount) but I've also seen people having their tickets taken or handed to police so you takes your chances.

Then again some of the best Friday entertainment is watching all the little kiddies spraying themselves with lynx and sweating like paedo in a Barnie suit when the sniffer dog appears.

I don't do anything like that at all, but there are plenty of sniffer dogs and police patrolling the gates and campsites, as well as the very long walk from the gate to the campsite. Is it worth being thrown out before you've even set up your tent? I'd say no, but it's up to you if you want to try. I've never tried to bring anything in, but I imagine it's pretty difficult.

if you're gunna take anything i'd just take the weed and not to much of it. if they catch you with that they'll just take it off ya, and that'll be that.

I would also rather people be stoned than pissed up on lots of Stella (but suppose it depends on the person)

I have been drug free for 9 months now with one blip and I can honestly say without sounding like someones mum that it is soooo not worth it, my gigs and festivasl would be surounded by who is buying what from where and who is taking what in and preparing for sniffer dog situations and dropping a gut when you are the nominated carier and the dogs are near and then getting to the festival and getting on it and blah blah blah, all rubbish, honestly, if drugs had been the same as they were in the 90's they maybe it would be a different sotry but eeeeew its poison at a price. Last year I almost ruined my festival by going over board on the Friday night, being sick all over the Inde disco and staying up all night, I was so so so ruff by the Saturday afternoon, had one blip since at a gig earlier in the year and was so smashed I stood still all through the gig and then sat down all night off my face, now does that sound like a good night to anyone No, and most of my friends have had spoilt nights through that kind of experience this year.

And do you know what since I have stopped I have realised one thing people who are smashed are the most annoying, mithering bunch of people you can come across.

Maybe I am getting old but I have thrown the towel in, I'll have my pimms (maybe a sniff of poppers)a few lagers and will be enjpying myself than most of my twat faced counter parts. So have a drink, have a smoke but I promise I will be having abetter time this year without.
