festivals vs sponsors - yes or no?

I’ve started to pick up on how festivals and sponsors are started to get more savvy and are seeing us as easy targets!

What does everyone think of the big money guys at festivals, necessary evil or leave us alone?

I have to say I was amazed there was no sponsorship at Sonisphere not something I was expecting at all! do they have any major sponsors? all the flags were just Sonisphere ones, the beer tents had tiny price lists - half the time I couldn't even read them, and the biggest banner I saw all weekend was for Hobgoblin in the Bohemia bar - good sponsor if it was one.

Okay so there was the Cola recycling thing - but that was pretty tucked away, all the stalls and caterers had banners pretty much the same size. So I'm guessing your request for your survey to be completed is a bit redundant in this thread.
