Underage Drinking at V

Basically 3 of us are going to V, I'm 16, and my 2 friends are 17, we all look around 17-18 years old, and we were just wondering, how likely are our bags to be searched on entry to the campsite? and if alcohol is found, how likely is it that it will be confiscated?. Is it wise to take an ID with us?. We are all responsible, and don't want any lectures on underage drinking. Thanks in advance.

They search people who look a bit shifty and they search everyones' bags or at least pat them down. The likelihood they'll take booze off of you? Pretty much zero. Don't worry. You'll find it hard to get beer tokens in the arena though as they've got a bit ID crazy the last couple of years.

Me and my friends were 15 first time we went to V in 2007, no one was bothered at all. We could comfortably walk around drinking and no one was bothered, as long as you don't act a tit of course. Just bring all your beer with you rather than buying any there as you will likely need ID for that.
