Comedy Tent

Its my first time at Summer Sundae and my 12 year old son is mad on comedy, is there an age restriction in the tent and is there an running time available yet? Many Thanks

As far as I'm aware, there's no age restriction. We've not seen a a timed running order as yet, so I guess it's not available, and probably only will be at the festival.

BTW, it's now actually a "cabaret tent" rather than "comedy tent" - so there's more than just comedians.

As long as you don't mind a little fruity language every now and then you'll be fine. If your son positively LIKES a little fruity language and a little audience participation, go see Jim Smallman and sit near the front!

Just worth mentioning as well that there'll be a night of comedy at the Y during the Thursday Fringe festival if you get here in time for that, which I understand has also been programmed by the Leicester Comedy Festival. Well worth a fiver and for a good cause.

Is the Y an actual venue or a nickname for one? I should be down for thursday and I'll buy a wristband though might not get passed The Donkey!

It's an actual venue - lovely little theatre with a balcony, built in 1900 - bit like a miniature DMH
