How far is the car pak to the camp site?

I was just wondering how far the car park is to the red campsite? I have never been before, and if all goes to pla we are cmaping here, but I was wondering how far it is, so I can think about what to carry etc! I am coming fro Telford along the A5 if that makes a difference to the car park i will be in! Thanks!

From the way you are coming it looks like you'll be in the west car park which is basically the opposite side to the campsites, in other words the furthest away from red!you have to pass the main arena before you reach red campsite. Google a siteplan of the vfestival Weston park map and you'll see what I mean.

When we have parked in West we camp in yellow. You have to walk past it to get to red camp!!!small but still near the arena

It doesn't necessarily follow that you'll be in West car park from A5 - they sometimes send you straight on at the roundabout with the A41 to the North carpark - they just direct you on the day as far as I can tell.

Yeh that's true, it does depend what time of the day it is I think, probably send you straight on round to other carparks if you get there fairly early up until those start filling up substantially, and once there's plenty of traffic coming in that other side, then they must start directing you into the west car parks.

If you get there reasonably early from Telford they'll send you to West (right at island). It's a nightmare trek from West to the camp sites so last year we decided enough was enough after several years of this!! We now go over the island making up an excuse (coz they try to force you right at the island) that we need to carry on A5, go past the park turn around and come back turning into the first park entry so we can park near the camp sites. We wil never park on west again EVER !!!!!!!!!

it took me about an hour to walk from that car park to the blue campsite last year. bare in mind how hot it was though and i was carrying everything i had because i couldnt be arsed going back to the car on a second trip.
