Possible Headliners for 2011?

Slipknot - Corey Taylor said he could guarantee he would be playing next year.

Foo Fighters - I could see Dave being up for playing Knebworth.

Soundgarden - Will be touring Europe next Summer.

System of a Down - due to make a comeback.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers - New material due out shortly which will no doubt see them tour and would sell tickets.

Metallica - could they be back next year along with Anthrax, Slayer and Megadeth?

I think Slipknot are unsure whether or not they're gonna continue since Paul Gray's death (RIP)

Corey Taylor said they have no idea what's gonna happen, so until Stone Sour have finished touring at least they won't be being booked

And I think organiser's would be reluctant to aim for headliners who might not even be together come 2011

Hopefully gonna be working there next year so I hope for 1 good and 1 shit headliner so I can miss the shit one lol

Why is everyone talking about Slipknot? They aren't going to be touring. Stone Sour have an album out in September (it's going to be massive) and I would bet a lot of money on them headlining the main stage next year.

I've heard a lot about Metallica having some 5 year contract with Sonisphere, and next year is the last year, and so they're just about certain to headline? Dunno if that means anything though?

Black Sabbath reunion maybe? That would be pretty good.

Also Joey Jordison said that Slipknot will most likely continue on after the death of Paul Gray (RIP)

If Sabbath do play next year it'll probably be another Ozzfest show since they want to bring that back over to the UK now.

I'd say Prodigy & Gun N Roses, also a chance for Pearl Jam & KISS. I'd only want to see Prodigy out of that lot though.

Rush are to be honoured with the Living Legend award at Classic Rock magazine's Marshall Roll Of Honour Awards in November. Alice Cooper and Iggy Pop both have received the award and played last year. wonder if there's any chance they could be tied up to some live shows whilst they're over here in November.

I'd like to see a farewell tour and all the proceeds go to his family instaed of them trying to carry on and release new material.

I wouldn't believe anything they say till after Murderdolls and Stone Sour have wrapped up their current tours and albums and get together properly.
