The real reason not that they let this get in the way of a "good" story....

A spokesman at the Co-op's headquarters in Manchester said the incident had been a 'genuine mistake on the part of our two members of staff' and apologised for how Mr Walls, who flew back out to Afghanistan this week, was treated. The spokesman added: 'This had nothing to do with anyone being against the war in Afghanistan. It's a simple case of a misunderstanding of company policy. 'Years ago we had a policy which meant we wouldn't serve police officers in uniform, but that is no longer the case. The cashier thought she was doing the right thing.

In my town, there's barely a pub who'll serve the soldiers, been a fair few pubs drunkenly smashed up, everyone knows someone whose been drunkenly started on, and we have seemingly endless problems with them at our work, from swearing at staff to theft.

No sympathy if they can't get served in shops.

Whilst eating my breakfast this morning I had a scoot through the Mail On Sunday because it was the only paper available. Piers Morgan has a bleedin' footy column! "The most controversial column in sport!" being his sub headline! Most controversial? Yes, because, Piers, you know f**k all about footy and f**k all about being a footy fan. f**k OFF!

You must occasionally dip in to the terrible rag for reconnaissance purposes...

I get it read to me by my Grandfather so he can illustrate to me how f**ked up our country is. No matter how much i tell him that everything in it is completely twaddle he will still read it to me. I think that his overwhelming desire is that i will turn to the dark side and start voting Ukip at any given opportunity. :lol:
