MissFi
Is anyones else ridiculously excited about V?! It is taking over my life at the moment. Every day I check the forums and think of things to take or do. My best mate is leaving for uni and we are trying to make it special for her too. I also have a daily countdown with my mates.....yes we are sad but we really don't care!!

vfest gal
so jealous! our tickets still not arrived! Still very excited, been going for ten years so we are old hands at this lark! The build up to the festival has me in a dither as well. Can't think of anything else but That weekend, and I constantly go through preparation so that nothing upsets my weekend away from husband and kids!! We are three (approaching) middle aged ladies up for a crazy mashed and wasted weekend!! Have a good one !! We will, rain or shine x
MissFi
I am going with my two best mates and it is our first time for two of us! We are in yellow camp!!! The plan is to spend the weekend, come rain or shine, dancing to music like frickin idiots (we look a bit special at times) and drinking far too much. I keep connecting everything to V. Most of my mates are annoyed with my mentioning certain bands that will be at V when they come on the radio. Hence the post, I thought people canadd their crazy on here!! plectrumknight
Glad to see others just as excited about V. You wouldn't think it when looking at the number of posts on this forum compared to the weston park thread

MOLLYJESS
Sooooooooooo excited!! It is mine and my hubby's only weekend we have a way from the kids. I am 43 but still can't contain my excitement!!!! My nephew's girlfriend comes with us, and we have such a great time - really can't wait to get going on Friday morning. We are going back to yellow camp this year, (red last year). Can't wait to get the tent up, and get into the swing of the festival spirit - I love it when we first get there and start wandering around and everyone is so happy and friendly, it's brilliant. Roll on 20 August!! woooohooo
plectrumknight
Tips for newbies? well im sure that you have gone through a lot of the forums and read a lot anyway, but my 2 cents worth is... Be willing to watch a band by yourself, if you end up watching a band that you didnt really want to - it puts a dampener on your mood. Extra toilet roll as it runs out in the toilets instantly. Get to know your neighbours as soon as you can, it helps when keeping your tents secure knowing who is around you etc. bring enough cash for the weekend, the queues for the machines can be stupidly long at times Suncream for the day, jumper for the night ( i burned the crap out of my nose) Relax, have fun

Skizz
The tickets released for Chelmsford were Sunday only apparently.
g_ward
can't wait now! Sometimes feel a bit jealous of you campers but not sure I'd swap our usual routine of using weekend, no camping tickets, hiring a transit and sleeping in that! We have a nice comfy airbed, enough room for loads of clothes, a gas stove, cool box etc. Staying under canvas may be conventional - but a van with a locked door is the future!! seriously though, can't wait - booked my van today! Madness and Weller the highlight for me
MissFi
Well this is my only holiday this year so I am praying for fairly nice weather! To be honest I don't care, I am going away with my best mates and going to make the bloody most of it! Can't wait to see KOL and my ginger friend Newton.....
