Just been on ebay and witnessed an earlybird ticket be sold and it went for £62 + P&P!

Why the hell are people paying this much?

That's the beauty of Ebay. People moan at the people selling the tickets but it's the mongs paying silly prices to blame. If someone can make decent money out of idiots all power to them I say....just think of it as a 'moron tax'.

This is ridiculous. I was just wondering, why can't you get into the campsite till after 6pm on the Wednesday at Reading? Seems pretty pointless really.

That's the official time, but some years they let you in 2pm, so basically, they let you in when they're ready.

We had to get our mates ours as all of us had one but he didn't, off ebay, cost £45, which really isn't that bad.

Is it not too much of a risk just turning up and hoping you can buy on the gate? All my friends have already got early bird so to go with them on the mini bus I'm going to have to folk out eBay prices

its definitely too much of a risk these days because theres no box office at reading. you could take £15 with you (and try persuade the first person that checks your tickets to let you in. but there's too many people around and the person taking your money would be at risk of losing their job and getting in trouble with festival republic if caught. so i'd say make sure you have a ticket in advance.

Seruously, if you're standing there with all your camping gear, they won't turn you away. It's too c*ntish for them to do that. You will be able to pay for early entry at wristband exchange, you might even be able to slip in amongst your mates if they've all got one.

I have paid on the door for early bird every year. It would make no sense for them to leave you waiting when they can take money off you and let you in to spend more money in the arena.

last year I sold one of my spare EBs to a guy (face value of course!) who couldn't get in with the rest of his friends cos he'd lost his (somehow between car and gate!!)there were none being sold at white gate, they'd tried that.
