sifi
Man does have a point though, there will be plenty of people dying for work ready to fill the posistions!
theramm
The point is that the staff are just trying to get a fair wage. Do you believe that it weould be fair time you had a grievance at work they just fired you & replaced you with someone who'd either work for less or in worse conditions? rachface
Man is an idiot though - regardless of whether or not there are other people available to do the job or not - it is illegal to fire people in this country for going on strike through a union. BAA would be rightly sued for unfair dismissal, which would probabaly cost them so much money that they'd be shutting down the airports for good. Would be nice if people had the faintest f**king idea about employment law before they start opening the mouths.

Benj
If you think Gatwick is going to run smoothly and happily with the entire capacity of Heathrow AND Stantead heading towards it, you sir, are a mis-guided soul.

FiestaDave
Three words that should end this worry. Fly into Gatwick.
Smally
I wouldn't worry about it. It was the same in June for Glastonbury when everyone was worried bands be grounded by the ash cloud and it all turned out fine.

Smally
I just wanted to get sifimaster more irate, but I'd be up for firing, (more like "shooting" ) at some cabin crew. Some are mad fit. Edited August 14, 2010 by Smally

ap3311
It's not the cabin crew, it's the airport workers. You know the guys who are always grumpy and ask you whether or not you have a bomb in your bag.
