Solfest - how far are you travelling?

About three miles I think...

I'm also interested to know what people will be listening to on their way to Solfest this year, so spill the beans, what do you have on your ipod or in your CD collection that you listen to in the privacy of your car where no one else can hear? Or do you have something that you always listen to to get you in the mood for a weekend of festivalling? Let's hear about it?

275 miles for us according to Google maps. Best part of 5 hours I reckon.

It's our first Solfest and we're very much looking forward to it, some great bands playing.

We'll certainly be listening to the new Magic Numbers cd on the way up and maybe a bit of The Jam for nostalgic reasons. Hell, might even find some Damned just to bounce the car up the motorway.

That I am !

I lived in Cumbria between 2001-2008 but never made it to solfest although a few friends did and told me how good it was. I know it's a cheap fest but I usually end up spending all my cash at glasto and missed out on solfest. But not this year ! I've missed out on glasto and really looking forward to solfest, looking forward to a smaller festival. Been on the solfest message boards quite a bit and there's loads of nice people on there, much friendlier than the glasto forum on here.

From Plymouth! Feckin' miles! Meeting my sister and brother-in-law at Millom on Thursday and then trucking on up on Friday. 2nd Solfest; hoping (against hope) that the weather won't be so sh*t as last year, but it's worth it for the vibe. Will have recent discoveries from Cambridge (Quebe Sisters, Carolina Chocolate Drops) on the CD plus Fairport, Jim Moray, Goldfrapp, Herbie Hancock, Richard Hawley and the cover CD from R&R 22, got at Cropredy. Where people were handing out Solfest flyers! :)
