Leaving late Friday :-S

Hi were setting off at 6/7pm on the Friday due to us all being at work :-/! We live in hull so when we get there it's obvz gonna be dark what shall we expect when we get there ie traffic, ques, campsites left? Also gonna be pitching our tents in the dark! Anyone wanna give us a hand ha! Anyone else from hill going????

Hi! I'm from Hull too, were not setting off till after lunch but were coming in a campervan so it might be slightly different for us as the campervan area doesnt get as full as the tents...but I cant see there being any ques as your not going to be arriving till about 9/10pm so you should be ok, you just might not get the camp site you want to be in....bummer youve got to work on the friday, tomor is my last day at work, whooo hooo, I cant bloody wait x

That's not bad then! I can't wAit ever me man me mates will prob squeeze in somewhere in one of the lively campsite like red with our small tents ha.

in my opinon arriving late friday and leaving late sunday is worst way to experience the festival!its harsh you couldnt get out of work.

anyhow you will be very lucky to get into red late friday unless as you say your tents are really small! good luck though!

i travelled from Blackpool at 6pm last year and there were no queues whatsoever on motorway or getting into V when we got there at 8pm, we got into the middle/back area of red which is good any not too far to walk and im pretty sure we had an ok car park as it wasnt that far away. take a torch and you will be fine! Im setting off at 2pm this year and expecting queues - hubby has to work till 12!
