Beer Tokens

Hi, this beer token malarkey, help me out.

I understand that you go straight to some tent to swap your hard earned cash for beer tokens? So -

1) Is there a minimum/maximum amount you have to purchase?

2) Are these valid for Friday/Sat/Sun or do you have to purchase new tokens each day?

3) If you have any left, do you have to take them back to the tent to swap back for cash? If so is it on each day or at the end of the weekend?

4) I'm guessing there are loads of places to buy beer, but what are the queues like to get a cold beer in your hand, are we talking like an hour or more?

Sorry to not directly answer any of your questions, but when we last went to V (Chelmsford 2008) the queues were small and quick, because of the token system. Unlike Leeds, which was longer because of the faffing with change.

And I'll also add another question...

5) Will there be bars open on the Friday, and if so, presumably tokens are available to purchase on the Friday?

Dont over spend on tokens as there are cash bars in the Arena & Media tents as a back up.

You can get a refund on tokens on the sunday evening. I believe some people on here have even had refunds by post. The queues are not so bad, we never waited long more than 10 minutes. Better still check if the Strongbow tent is doing the text thingy were you get 2 free pints.

strongbow n bacardi are cash i think...

i get my tokens friday night before i go strongbow or indie tent theres no queues whereas on the sat u could be queuing for an hour or so.

Also if u do have left over tickets make sure u get your money back before the last act on sunday night because they close the kiosks, very naughty of them.

you can buy as many as u like, there valid all weekend and the queues for beer is pretty short as theres alot of places to buy them from.
