Well the boy did not do particularly well which hopefully proved to him that you can't arse around for 5 years and then expect to come away with decent grades. He got 2 D's 2 E's an F a U and 1 C. He already had two other C's from last year. Not a complete disaster but really should have done better.

The up-side of this is that it seems like he has enough to get into 6th Form to do Film Studies and Media Studies, but he will have to do a Btec rather than a 3rd A-level. The only one they offer is business studies. I suppose in a way that is good as he has something then to fall back on if he passes the Btec and does not do well enough to get into Uni.

His words to me were, "its a bit of a wake-up call" Well he's had several of those and its never made him work harder. However i remain ever hopeful of him coming good in the end.
