MONDAY 30TH AUGUST -

BBC 3 - 7-8pm

Reading Best Bits

Edith Bowman and Reggie Yates present highlights of the three-day music event, with performances from the Main Stage and BBC Radio 1/NME Stage. Artists appearing at the festival included Guns N' Roses, Blink-182 and Arcade Fire, the Libertines, Dizzee Rascal and Paramore.

Also there will be red button footage over the whole weekend and that's usually on from 7pm - 2am each evening of the festival and obviously shows a lot more coverage of loads of bands/acts..they usually do/film the top 5/6 bands on the main and R1/Stages on each day...doesn't look as though they are doing the Festival Republic stage this year but who knows..may just do the headlining bands from that tent.

There will also be a highlights programme on Friday 3rd Sept on BBC 2 at night as they do every year, but the listings for that day aren't out yet but that's when its usually shown, 90 or 120mins of highlights usually after Newsnight

For those wondering why there isn't more coverage on the Friday or the Sunday - on the Friday there is live Athletics coverage from 7-9pm on BBC 3 and on the Sunday as its the return of F1 after their 4 week break, there is highlights of the Belgian GP at 7pm followed by live Moto GP hence why only get 90 mins on the Sunday

This lineup is the most mainstream, wish they varied it up a bit. Mumford and Dizzee are on literally every BBC festival and I love both of them. Dull, also for the headline slots if you want to watch back watch the actual programme on iplayer inc the presented bits as they showed around 4 more radiohead songs than was on the dedicated BBC festival page, hope that makes sense.

all i can say is as much as i hate them two, at least it isn't fearne cotton and dave berry and itv2. i was about to throw my tv out of the window when i was watching the isle of wight coverage. they spent the whole show talking about how they were going to show the strokes WHILE talking over the strokes in the background, and then only showed one song at the end. those two should be shot

ahhhh

I never understand that attitude from big stars. Guns n Roses, although Chinese Democracy was a success, they really are not on the radar anymore. Having primetime TV slot ot air your entire 2 hour show could do wonders for Axl.

oh and Eminem was miming.... thats why he said he didnt want it filmed. It's pretty obvious he is if you see any of the 2 videos recorded.
