How long will it take to get into v festival on sunday? (staffordshire)

There's not usually much of a queue for traffic to get in - can't remember how long but I don't think more than about 20 minutes. But it is a long walk from the car park to the Arena and once there, there can be a long queue to actually get into the arena - expecially as a day ticket holder as most gates are only for campers and last year they only had one gate for day and weekend non-campers and it isn't due to open until 12 - which is daft as the first act is on then! But last year they did open the gate early and it wasn't so much of a problem on the Sunday as the Saturday.

So you'll have to count back. What time is the first act you want to see on? Or do you want to be in as close to 12 as poss. The queue into the arena could easily take half an hour and the same for the walk from the car park. So you want to be parked up by about 11 I would say. But it's difficult to say with any accuracy.

Hope that helps.

As a day ticket holder you only get to go in the arena area of V and that opens at 12pm

The traffic is normally quiet on a sunday morning at Western Park so there should be no problems getting in. Maybe aim to get in the car park about 11am so that you have time to walk to the entrance and take in the atmosphere, and get in the line to get in the arena.

Getting out might take longer at the end of the day so take some snacks to eat on the way home. Enjoy V!

Yeah I guessed you were from Shrewsbury by your name! Me too, or near enough anyway. We made the same sort've mistake the same year but not quite as bad - 9.30! Have you tried the parking at the farm opposite Weston on the A5 - it saves a lot of hassle getting out and is the same price!
