Is it just me or do other people on here encounter people who come out with the stupidest things...

I had The Specials 30 year anniversary live album on yesterday and a girl who I work with came into my department. Im not saying that everyone should know who The Specials are but when asked by another work collegue if she liked The Specials her response was......"who?, never heard of them, sounds like rubbish to me,.....anyway, I like proper music.....like LADY GAGA"......she said this with absolute conviction and not a hint of sarcasm......f**king idiot !

I like people like that, you know exactly where you stand.

I had it last week, my mate's boss' husband was in my car as I flipped through my ipod on the cars display. "Have you got any coldplay?" was the question. I then knew that all conversation about music was off the radar for the coming evening.

I was at a party a few months ago and put The Clash on, my best friends younger brother trying to act "cool" said "I really love the clash".... but the singers got a f**king awful voice"......what a nob !!

I also work with a guy who thinks he's a expert on steaks, even though he will only eat them well done, he was telling me about all the different steaks he gets from his butchers including popeye steak, I said he must be mistaken as id never heard of them and couldnt find anything about them on the net. He got really angry and rang his butchers up to ask about them, the butcher didnt have a clue what he was on about......the idiot meant ribeye, which is what I told him he meant all along

I run a hotel so yes. A lot. Don't remember most of them though. Just the really special ones. I think its a defence mechanism. I'd go nuts otherwise.

Good recent one would be someone asking about whale watching trips. Now there are a couple of places in NZ you can do this. Not in our lake though.

Joe Strummer does have a bad voice. He can't actualy sing and is out of tune all the time. It suits that music, but he is a dire singer. I think that comments 100% right.

Thats upsetting as i do actually really like Florence. I did think her cover of The Chain was pretty good, and its one of my favourite tunes of all time.

Really don't want to be tarred with the same brush as the rest of them.

Though in fairness, The Chain was released a very long time ago, before some of these people were born and is not massively well known by anyone who isnt over the age of 30. Apart from the formula one bit lol.

??? I can understand about the whales, but dolphins? We seen some at Rotarua. We didn`t swim with them though cos it stinks round there.... and it was the scariest place of our trip.
