Meaky
Hey, we're flying in from Guernsey (channel Islands) to manchester to Creamfields, I can't seem to find much help on the Creamfields website about how to get to the festival from Manchester, just that it's closer than liverpool, Is it best to get a taxi or is the place going to be choca with traffic n make the taxi expensive? Our flight from Guernsey's at 7:00 so will be travelling up just after 9 most likely, Also, we leave on Monday at 9, so will there be any taxis around at 6 in the morning? Can't wait, Creamfields virgin
Chris_
You could either get a Taxi/bus to Manchester Bus Station, then jump on a Shuttle Bus to Creamfields which will be the cheapest way. "Manchester – Saturday Buses are scheduled to leave Sackville Street at 7am, 9am 11am, 1pm & 3pm & 5pm. Buses will start to leave the site on Saturday night around 10.30pm and run frequently to around 4-5am." Or you could jump in a taxi straight from the Airport. Not sure if it will cost anymore due to traffic. I thought you just got charged per mile but im not sure. Dont know if there will be Taxis on the Taxi rank outside Creamfields at 6am, You'll probably be better off just booking one for that time. Taxis are 24/7 in Manchester. fifilabouche_2000
Hi I am travelling from Manchester and having been to Creamfields a few times before, I have found the easiest way is to get a train from Manchester Piccadilly to Warrington, its well cheap, then get the shuttle bus from warrington to creamfields. (train station is directly opposite the bus station) Its cheaper than getting the shuttle bus from manchester. Think its about £4 for the train and £7.50 on the shuttle bus. You may even be able to get a train straight to the airport from warrington or change at Manchester Piccadilly. Check the trainline or something. Plus am put off the shuttle bus from Manchester cos I have had a few probs in the past! one year it didnt even take us to creamfields as there was some sort of problem with them getting permission to take us on site. Another year when we pre booked out tickets we coudlnt get on the bus cos loads of people just piled on and wouldnt get off and it all kicked off! Plus it can be a nightmare cos its Manchester Pride and there are road closures and all sorts over the weekend so I try and avoid the city centre. Hope this helps! CeeCeeLuvsDancing
Yeah, if you can get to Manc centre from the airport, then you can either jump on a train to Warrington, and the next stop after that is Runcorn East. Both stations are not too far away from the festival, within reasonable taxi distance!!!
