Is it normal to get p*ssed on at v?

This was my first time at V and I would like to ask all people who have been before; is it normal to have urine thrown on you when in the crowd. The only place it didn't happen was the Ford Escort Arena or whatever it was called. It was disgusting. I wrote a review of my experience if anyone wants to find out more, but do answer my question - is this behaviour normal??

I agree it's fecking disgusting but unless people stand up to these nobs when they see them doing it, it's never going to change.

I read your review, and to be honest I've never seen or heard of anyone having the experience you did. Really surprised nobody did or said anything - anybody who thinks that's acceptable behaviour needs a good kick in to make them think otherwise

This year was particularly bad for it I think, though unfortunately it is part and parcel of festivals and certain outdoor gigs. As always, bad things happen when good people do nothing; if you see them, intervene, or at least try and get them reported. Remember the crowd is on your side

It wasn't normal but seems to be on the increase each & every year since 2006. Think it ties in with the yearly-increasing "utter knob" quotient present at V :angry:

From reading this topic on these boards each year, it seems to be part of the V festival experience. Not my cup of tea but each to their own.

Probably is normal for V, however it is really minging and people should make the effort to find a dunny to piss in. Someone pissed up my tent at Reading in 1998, took ages to get the smell out

Love your review by the way and I completely agree with everything said, i went once in 2005 and I hated it so much I demanded to leave on the saturday night, had I not been drunk I would have packed up there and then! Getting verbally abused for no reason while walking to the campsite hit the nail on the head for me.
