Without going over the top... they were the worst band of my entire weekend. The band sounded awful, the set was filled with knob jokes there only to fill time, they had played all their hits pretty much all by half way through the set, the entire thing was a horrible boring mess. The band are not headliners, never have been, and should not have been last night. This is clear by the sheer masses of people leaving. I stayed as long as i could, but in the end I just did not want to end my festival so dreadfully.... so Klaxons it was.

on the subject of sound quality, i thought lost prophets had the worse sound all weekend

Sorry to hijack the thread...

but was anybody who was at Reading also at the front for Blink?

There was a point at which a section of the front row collapsed sideways. Security were scrambling to get people back on their feet. People were panicking and struggling to get their feet. I tried to help where I could but the squash/surges made it difficult to move much at all. I'm suprised nobody got badly inured. I think the security guys did a great job anyways.

it did look mighty squashed down there. happens a lot at Reading, especially for popular bands like Mumford (wasn't there but i hear stories) where it was unbearable. The Libs was crush central as well.

yeah but crowd pictures are very decieving. Look at the bbc coverage of any band at mainstage and you can be easily taken that a band has more of a crowd than there is.

That said, they did have a very big crowd.

but that also said, there was a big stream of people constantly leaving throughout.

All of these are facts. But yeah they did have a big crowd... noone disputing that
