I was working in the Cape Cod Melody Tent in 1999 in America. I gave him a lift, and the rest of the band, from Hyannis to the venue and did security at the event, met them after etc. Honestly cant remember him specifically but I became a fan of the band after the show, really good.

I remember the day very well for a few reasons.

1. I asked them did they want the a/c on and they were impressed I'd asked (it can screw up your voice if its on).

2. I left the foot brake on the rented RV I was driving (didnt know what a foot brake was!) and I destroyed one of the tyres. The band laughed at me when we got out. Car was smoking and there was a smell of burning rubber everywhere.

3. I was really hungover, had a bout two hours kip and was wearing a wife beater vest.

4. Later, when they were coming into the tent for the gig, I walked them down the ramp and got in the way of one of them (the last guy, so maybe the drummer?!) and he pushed me out of the way.

But they rocked the place. R.I.P.
