Is it just me or is anyone else TOTALLY STOKED (as in, very much looking forward to) EOTR this weekend?

My friend and I came last year for the first time and were blown away by the festival. Saw some great performances by bands we wanted to see and discovered plenty of music that was new to me. Enjoyed the smaller/more friendly ambiance compared to festivals I was used to (eg. Leeds Fest) and the considerably better eats & booze.

Blabbed so much about it when we got home that there's now 6 of us coming down (from Leeds) this year - bring on Thursday!

Yep, Not btagging but I've been to every single one and it's teh only festival I go to as no others come close. It's perfect size, can you leave your tent in the knowledge that no one is going to thieve anything, the best line up EVER!, Friendly as can be. Basically if you act like a cock at this festival you stand out like a sore thumb. The food stalls are all brilliant, they even have End Of the road ale! The people who run this festival are just like us, they are not headline grabbing, money making merchants, just music lovers who are trying to give the samller bands a chance. Perfect example was Motel Motel last year, never heard oiff them, first band on teh big top and they played to a packed crowd, some 2000 or so, imagien what that was like for them? Not just that they rocked it. It's what I like about this festival most, smaller bads can be playing in fornt of 200/300 people, crazy! There is still NO advertising at this festival. Lot to be said for that too. By far the best all round festival this country has to offer, keep it quiet though ;-)

Can't wait. Looking forward to 4 chilled days with lots of ale, new bands, sitting around, eating and being lazy and entertained. I love EOTR.

Another messageboard I frequent is getting pissed off with me banging on about EOTR all the time. It's pretty much all I talk about. So it goes without saying, that I cannot wait for Thursday. This'll be my third year and it's just an amazing festival. Just hope it stays reasonably dry.

Ah Motel Motel - yep, you've just reminded me & have now stuck them on in the office

Didn't see any agro at all last year. We were chatting to a security chap on the last night and he said there'd only really been a handful of incidents.

Oh and I forgot about the cider bus, I *think* I can remember having a couple of their brandy-infused hot ciders...

If you get the chance to play Ringo, do so, hilarious. It's basically song intros in the style of bingo. You recognise the intro, if it's on your card cross it off etc. Don't even need to know the answers as the host gives the most awful clues. Gives the most awful prizes too, one lady won a packet of biscuits. It's free though and had me in stitches. It's normally on in the front room thing they have there.

Met check weather is saying 19 Thursday,cloudy with sunny spell, Friday 20 degress, hot, sat the same, Sunday possible light shower but mostly sunny with clouds, 19 celcius. That'll do me :-)

We missed out on all of the indoor activities last year and my clashfinder is already pretty busy from start to finish each day. However, I do like a good quiz and one of my mates coming this year is (and I guess I class myself as such) a music nerd, so we'll see if we can make it in.

Met check is NEVER wrong either. Weather is always pretty good at EOTR. Only rained twice in al five years i've been and both of those times was at the same festival. Few haybales soon sorts it out :-)

Lots of clsahes this year. I really want to see Fe;ice brothers, my favourite band and are a must see live band, mental. Not so fussed about modest mouse to be honest and yo la tengo headlined a couple of years back so this year going to try and give soike unknowns a go. I need to get over my fear of the Tipi tent, gonna be bigger this apparantly and different shape. Local stage could do with being a bit further away from it as the acoustic acts can sometimes be drowned out. Apart from that, no complaints at all. Really looking forward to Fe;ice brothers, Deer Tick, Iron & Wine, Timber Timbre, Jonny Kearney & Lucy Farrell, Elliott Brood and Brakes. Actually, it's all bloody good isn't it?

Loved it so much last year took my 9 yr old daughter and both of us so excited again this year. The best festival ever in my opinion so chilled.

yeah my daddy is taking me to EOTR and i am also really looking forward to it. i cant wait. hopefully i get to stay up late and watch New pornographers and caribou (fingers crossed). ENJOY!!!!!

I'm not merely stoked, I'm hanleyed, burslemed, longtoned, fentoned and tunstalled. I'm totally potteried up for EOTR

Third year for me, and looking to be the best yet. Too many good bands to list, in fact the problem is going to be when to fit in some chilling and random wandering!

Jealous of those who saw Motel Motel last year, but surely Ohbijou were the first band in the Big Top? Anyway, it's all good and I would echo the endorsements for Ringo, it is Hi. La. Rious.
