I have been helping my 20 year old pack for Uni today, and whilst I am glad to not have the worry about him I am sorry to see him go. He is due to go on Sunday and we have been arguing for weeks. He went out tonight and I spent the evening with my 18 year old daughter, and I burst into tears about Jon leaving. I showed her what I had him one of those "Eco-Drive" wathces. The ones that never need winding up. It's not one of the really expensive ones but still cost me over 100 quid and I have been saving for ages. I wanted to have engraved something really profound but I could not think. The best I came up with was "From a Dad that is proud of his son,and hopes that his son realises that his Dad is there anythime he needs him." Ok not engraved but in a card.

Congrats to your wife, your family and yourself. Dave is a wonderful name
