sweet and tender hooligan
This is the most amazing line up of anything I've ever been to. I'm ridiculously excited although worried about some horrific clashes! Now, just need to book a flight!

branvan
this line up is so gorgeous, had to buy tickets and flight and hotel :-) when do we know the timetable? there will be many clashes and i don't like to get in bands or be happy about bands playing which i won't see because of other favourite bands playing at the same time. i remember last year it was in april, or am I totaly wrong? last year i remember they made a few heavy clashes, f.e. beach house vs. cocoRosie... and it was still packed at the beach house... fuzzylogic
Could be them, could be PJ Harvey, The National....doesn't really work like that though because the music goes on until 6ish in the morning so playing last doesn't really make you 'the headliner'
themangus
Any ideas when they'll break it down to which band / which stage?

t_diddy
does anyone know if it's feasible to sell on a ticket for this? I bought a VIP ticket when they first went on sale last year but now I can't go. The ticket has my name on it but I don't know how closely it'll be checked - I went last year (with a non-VIP) ticket but can't remember if they asked for ID when I got my wristband... robith
I am going. Last year was awesome. Excited again for this year. Small tip - don't bother with beer. They free pour spirits. And by that I mean you get half a pint of rum with a miniscule dash of coke in
TheSeventhOne
Tempted to do this alone. Any tips on doing it fairly cheaply with minimum hassle?
Bort
Get a hostel within walking distance of placa catalunya, take the metro to the fest every afternoon, take the shuttle buses back at the end of the night.
Infinite Jest
Exactly what Bort said. Another option would be to try to find a hostel on Av Diagonal or nearby (the northern end, near the festival), and walk back after the festival - but there isn't much accommodation in that part of town, and I'm not sure if there are any hostels. And then just generally wander round and listen to music and talk to people. I'm fairly antisocial but even I managed some conversations with randoms last year

themangus
Looking at organising my hotel over the weekend. Looking at staying in the centre of Barcelona - hopefully get around town a little bit during the time we're there for some tapas and some beers. Also looking central to be in between the two sites. Anyone with any Barcelona hotel experiences / tips..?

branvan
hi! i'm going again, last year was great. (again) best line up of the saison :-) my question is how to get tickets for the auditorium. last year, we wanted to buy these 2euro-tickets for the concert of LOW, but they were all sold out at 15.30h p.m. then we had to queue for 90min and were lucky at the end to get in. at what time you can buy these auditorium tickets??? 12h? 13h? later?
branvan
i forgot an important point: 1. at what time of day you can get the tickets for auditorium? 2. do you have, if you have got a ticket, an entrance for shure? so you don't have to queue up for an hour or so? My Feet In Flames
Awesome festival, the line up is unbelieveable! Last year was my first time and I fall in love with PS: Pixies, Pavement, Grizzly Bear, Beach House, Wilco, Built to spill, Bloody Beetroots, Diplo... You can hear all the bands playing at PS2011 in this spotify playlist:
