Falko Brocksieper might have moved away from Cologne in 2004, but you can still hear the lush techno sound of his home city in his compositions. Producing since 1999, he has released on a variety of labels including Sub Static, Resopal, Treibstoff, Dumb Unit and Tuning Spork. As a DJ, his style has been described as "intelligent and optimistic", and he places special emphasis on mixing up older tracks with more recent records.

JB is looking super trim right now with more of those lovely brickwork arches being exposed, a fresh paint job and a load of subtle tweaks. We've shifted the visuals to a much more prominent position and there's a brand new double stacked sound system to do the most important job of all. No wonder a whole bunch of our promoter friends are moving over to Joshua Brooks!

Not a bovine preserve, but a month-long nationwide festival of music, Oxjam has so far raised £1.2m for a load of great causes. Micron are reet proud to be involved with these guys for the second year running. Their success may be partly due to them taking themselves about as seriously as we do. Or it might not, we don't know. But they are a right laugh and right on.
