nah I dont think so, I listen to the radio for probably less than 1 hour a month, but that hour tends to be absolute hoping for some old classics. Generally they play a load of crap too though I must admit.

The radio hasnt been my "go to" place to find new music for years and years, I trust nerds on the internet (like people on this very forum) much more than the tools on the radio.

According this morning's Metro, the average age of a Chris Moyles listener is 33. I really don't understand how anyone that age can put up with the absolute garbage emanating from Moyles' gob, coupled with the utter tripe music he is forced to play.

Buying a DAB clock radio was one of the best decisions I ever made. Shaun Keaveny is the real saviour of breakfast radio.

In the car I tend to listen to Jack FM (Hertfordshire) these days. There are other versions dotted around the country too. There are no DJs most of the time, its just back to back music and a few adverts. And the music isn't bad either. Everything from ABBA to Zappa

XFM for your indie landfill needs I find it has a good balance between new and older stuff (Plus Danny Wallace is somewhat humorous ), tends to my breakfast show of choice.

Then mostly 6Music if i happen to fancy the radio any other time.

Well into Jazz FM (on DAB of course) at breakfast with ex Gilles Peterson producer Chris Phillips. Top stuff, almost entirely music, and usually tracks I've never heard before and ad breaks are short.

Never listen to XFM or the radio that much either as I use my iPhone/iPod & iTrip for music but the Danny Wallace Breakfast Show podcast is brilliant & Britain's third favourite quiz, QuizFace, still makes me chuckle.

I was one of those people who intensely disliked Moyles. I stopped listening quite early in his career (he did the pre-breakfast show for some time), he used to promote drinking and smoking to a teen audience, then he was promoting gyms and fitness as if he hadn't spent the previous few years promoting drinking to excess and rounding it off with a kebab, he's a misogynist and I could probably go on, at length, about the numerous things he has said and done that annoyed the tits off of me, but as I say, I stopped listening a long time ago, he pretty much killed radio 1 for me.

sometimes ignorance is bliss...I havent listened to radio 1 since Peel died. I've never heard this Moyles bloke on the radion - I only really listen to R4 and 6. I've never seen him on TV (dont have one). I wouldnt know him if he walked in my house
