Francis Biley
Hi, Here's my story: Registered in 2008 for three years, giving me opportunity to buy tickets in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Thought I'd check my registration status via Seetickets website and it said that my registration was valid until 31 July 2011. Didnt trust that, so phoned up and they said that my registration expired in 2010, and the website was wrong. F**k. So, my advice is that if you registered in 2008 and have been told that it is still valid...it isnt, and you must still re-register. I got the guy at See (who was great) to speak to his supervisor so that they know about the problem, and I also spoke to Lucy at the Glastonbury Festival Office to bring it to their attention. Would hate to think that there are folks out there who think that they are registered and come T day they cannot buy tickets.
eFestivals
I've just spoken with the boss at See Tickets (again), who 100% assures me that if the computer system is saying your registration is active/hasn't expired then it *IS* active and hasn't expired. Don't listen to what the people on the phone might say about this. The computer says 'yes' (), and it's the computer which will be taking the sales. Mmmm Beer
I registered for 07, so assumed it had now expired. Re registered in August, received confirmation email and new number. Status checker shows I am registered up to 31 July 2011, and is showing my old reg number not my new one. WTF!!!!! emailed see, will post response when I get one. Assuming Neil is correct, which I do, it looks like I will have to use my old number which should have expired but has not!! eFestivals
I've also just had a call from the guy at Glastonbury Festival who is in control of the ticketing, and he also assures me that if the See system is saying the registration is active, then it 100% definitely is. So it's all good, and there's no need to panic.
Francis Biley
Thanks guys, but I am not reassured at all Neil, partly this is due to See's history of managing it all (from what I understand from the forum - personally I've never had any trouble), but also there are a couple of bits I didnt mention: 1. I registered to buy tickets for three years from 2008, that means my registration should have expired. It hasnt according to you and See, so does that mean Im registered for four or more years? If so, they are messing up...ie I am registered for more than I am supposed to be. 2. The guy on the phone said that his See intranet said that my registration had expired, but when he checked on the See external website, it was showing that it wasnt expired. 3. Three people (including me) in my house are registered, but they registered later than me. Two of them have got 'buy ticket this weekend' email reminders, but I didnt. I didnt get a reminder = I'm not registered. Intranet = I'm not registered. Internet = I am registered. I'm sure you can understand my confusion.... Advice from See = re-register. Mmmm Beer
If you re-registered then when you put in your Surname and Postcode into the checker, you should see that one there as well as the old one. I have 3 registrations all showing as valid, from 3 seperate occasions of registering.. including the one from 2008 with my original registration number. Mmmm Beer
Just re-registered again, I wonder if I will end up with 1, 2, or 3 registrations?
Mmmm Beer
This gets better!!!! NOT!!! My re-registration has now been rejected because my photo is not acceptable even though it bloody well was before!!!
Mmmm Beer
Final update (hopefully) Re-registered last night eventually, had first photo rejected, god knows why, the second one was virtually identical which was accepted. I now have 2 reg numbers showing on see status, my old one done in 07 for 08, my newest one from last night, my one from August 10 is still missing. In last 12 hours have emails from see for 5 out of 6 reg numbers confirming ticket sale on Sunday.
