Party time!

  1. 1. If you bring beer to a party and not all of it is consumed, can you take the remainder with you as you leave the party?

    • You brought it, it's yours to do what you wish
    • No. Title changed upon walking across the threshold
    • You can sneak one for the road in your pocket as you leave

Id say unless the party is moving back to yours/elsewhere the norm is to leave whatever beer youve taken at the persons house. It is ok to take one for the road.

Sprits are a different matter. Usually with my friends if spirits are taken to parties then whoever takes them usually leaves with them if they have quite alot left.

if it's bring your own booze, you should be able to take it home with you if you want.

i usually take a few cans of cider and a bottle of vodka to a party and move onto the vodka when i've finished the cans. so i always take my vodka home since there's loads left.

when i go to a party, i always take something for the host anyway. a bottle of wine or some beer. so i'm definitely taking all my own booze away with me since i've brought booze for them.

if i'm drinking at someone's house then we're heading out to a club, i'll take one can for the train and leave the rest there.

i've had parties before where we've been left with a shitload of booze. :D

I wouldnt dream of taking back beer I had brought to a party. I always make sure I take MORE than I am going to drink, because some tightarses turn up with a 4 pack and drink the fridge dry, I dont see why the host should bear that cost.

We had a family party last year, and I stocked the fridge with about 4 full cases of stella, 2 of my uncles brought nothing, and said "no bitter?" - I had to go and buy 2 cases of john smiths. gutted. my mates would never have done that.

This kinda reminds of a party I went to. It was my pals 21st in his parents house and it was a kind of adult plus young folk party. There was shitloads of booze just sitting in crates out the back and was help yourself to the ones that the host had bought. I took a 8 pack of Kronnenbourg. I mind going outside and going to get a Kronenbourg out of my bag and there was an older guy taking one out (didn't mind there was wayyy loads of booze). He looked round at me and offered me my own booze. I found that funny.
