Leocadius, that's not "irony" and you've just took it off topic

I would welcome Soundgarden with open arms but they deserve to be below MCR

I really hate saying it as someone who's been going to Leeds from the beginning but people need to realise the crowd that go to R&L now. It's aimed at 16-25 year olds. They will pick the big acts of the day and some who have big hits that everyone knows (GnR, Blink). The festival has had it's fingers burned in recent years with acts like The Smashing Pumpkins and Pixies who although massive acts have been left with small crowds up against Klaxons and Kasabian respectively.

I'm not saying Soundgarden will not headline as the festival always throws up surprises but IMO they would be a weak headliner against a new NME type act.

There is no point in booking a headliner who only appeals to fans of that act, that's why the Pumpkins and Pixies failed. You need an act that can attract casula fans, people who perhaps only know a few big songs. Soundgarden aren't that act.

I hope I'm proven wrong though.

Wrong, Paramore drew a decent enough sized crowd, which you would expect for as good a band as they are, Blink nearly caused a crush seeing as that many people wanted to see them. This is fact, why Vieuphoria has spent the last month trying to deny it is beyond me.

BFMV deserve to sub-headline, maybe bring back metal Sunday

I can see Green Day headlining and there's no doubt they are one of the best bands to have ever played Reading, much better than Axl and company
