Chances of Elbow for 2011?

I'd love to see them live so was considering a ticket to see them at Sheffield arena in March, but then it occured to me that the R&L lineup release would only be a week or two after the gig, and it would be annoying if they were announced after paying £40 just to see them (and on a student budget that's serious business.)

How likely do you think they are?

They could play, I'd imagine they'll be at Glastonbury. I don't really know where they'd play at R&L though. Second top perhaps?

They could headline, or Sub? I think they'll play Glasto under Glasto. But i wouldn't count them out of Reading.

But yeah Elbow have played before. Can't see them going down any worse than Arcade Fire really.... plus Elbow are superb live.

If they could get away with putting them 3rd or 4th on the mainstage, I think they'd love to book Elbow, but I think they'd want to be sub-headliners now, and I think FR will want bands to appeal to a slightly younger audience if they're playing that high up. I'd love to be wrong though, One Day Like This in the dark would be brilliant.

I hardly say Arcade Fire was particularly appealing to the teens this year. Nor Guns 'n Roses being particularly DIRECTED at them.

I'd say if they play they'll be headlining - though they're far more likely to be subheadlining at Glasto.

Id have thought them more likely for Glasto, and maybe T/oxygen. Would like to be proved wrong though!

They could do all of R/L, Glasto and TITP/Oxegen. Bloc Party and Yeah Yeah Yeahs did it the other year.

They'd make a great 2nd headliner, be perfect for when it's getting dark. Plus I'd say they're big enough for that slot now. Could even possibly headline in a few years time.

I'd love to see them there. I'll be honest though, i'd be suprised if they were announced.
