eFestivals
just had a look at the Metcheck forecast, and while it's not fantastic if that's what we get I won't be unhappy - the amount of rain they forecast between now and the fest isn't as big as it might be given the weather system that's almost on us, and with a bit of luck any rain will be small enough to only create a few sticky patches rather than a quagmire. Stick.

Josepipe
Met office just out. The generally unsettled conditions look to continue as June comes to a close, with further showers or rain likely to affect many parts of the country, but especially Scotland and Northern Ireland. However, there should also be some drier, brighter and slightly warmer periods, these most likely in the south of the UK, but particularly across southeastern parts of England. Temperatures will be generally close to average, but will be slightly below in any persistent rain. However, there is a chance of temperatures creeping above average in any extended sunny spells, particularly across the southeast. It will also be windy at times, with a risk of gales, particularly across the north and west at first. Updated: 1146 on Thu 16 Jun 2011
fred quimby
This does remind me of last year (I guess it's a June thing) Me and Mrs Q were working out whether to buy souwesters due to the weather. Even on the Tuesday before, when I went down to site I had to inform my crew, who had been there for a further 4 days, that it did appear that we would get some heavy rain on the Thursay. None of it happened. Lets hoppe that low stays north and the high ridge pushes it out the way. I'm hoping this Sunday is ok as I'm down on site to put up me tent (big family one at that) NR NC

If so will post them on here! Hope it doesn't do what it did at teatime in Leeds last night - my god the r$%n was horizontal! Aragorn
i think the fact that every forecast is different, even the ones from the same place a few hours after their last forecast, gets to show that none of them have much idea what they're talking about, and that weather forecasting is much more guesswork than science. jezzer
Let's keep this positivity going, it seems to be falling in to place but we can't relax yet. The legendary Countryfile forecast will be the key Looks nice and bright on the Glasto webcam at the moment, and it's good to see a nice drying sun at the Test cricket in Hampshire, always useful if we're going to keep that mud away!! jeffie
Horrendous wasnt it! Especially as i was on a pre-glasto run and almost exactly at the mid-point. Crossing the A64 was like doing a river crossing! I couldnt help thinking about how awful it would be if it rained like that at glasto *shudder*
Porcelina
So we only have three more days on emotional rollercoasting until the decisive Countryfile. This is no time for slacking! Dustbowl 2011! NFR, NFC!
strudders
Just been looking at the Met office pressure charts and that's not looking all doom and gloom either... So positive thinking and a shed load of money spent on waterproofs may have won the day... Still time to make additional scarifies to the weather gods though... Right... Canoes... New Cillit Bang
The latest run looks ace... i agree and would stick with that predicion up to now. Considering the pounding Glasto is going to get over the next day or two with the rain, lady luck might just be with us with a week to spare Here's hoping the current predictions keep getting better and better...
