I'll try and update these over the next few days BTW :D

Here is an animation I made for the r**n from today's GFS 12Z run, not too bad towards the festival weekend but there is a lot of water around in the mean time, better than the other way around at least B)

Colours represent rain in mm for the 3 hours of each time step as shown on the scale at the bottom :)

tell you what, I've just been out walking my dog in cold persistent heavy rain, it's been raining here for about 6 hours. If it's like this for more than a couple of days at Glasto I'll be bailing out. Been there done that, wet muddy ones but wet cold muddy ones then it's seeya later I'm off!

Slag me if ya want!

Whatever it is now; even if the site is 'a bog already' as posted earlier, it's all a few days off yet. Think of previous times when it's got quite muddy on say the thurs / fri and despite this, the ground has dried and you're sitting on the glass on Saturday.

It'll be ace you just see. I'm dressing as the Foul Mouthed Geisha so it had better be nice; wellies would ruin the look

Thanks Neil ;)

JACKONE for 17th June:

http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/69966-glastonbury-update-17th-june/

GFS 06Hz

A brief ridge of High Pressure should keep things settled on Friday, but Low pressure soon pushing in during the early hours of Saturday, and looking very wet generally over Southern areas of the UK and for Glastonbury especially. This pushes through on Saturday with Sunday looking drier with sunshine and showers.

GFS 12Hz

Thursday sees pressure slowly rise from the west, but still with a NW wind and pressure quite low, as a result showers may well develop and the precipitation charts indicate that these may be a bit more widespread than on Wednesday. Friday sees a ridge of High pressure pushing up from the south (1024mb) and it should be mostly dry and settled over southern areas. Saturday sees low pressure trying to push in from the west, however higher pressure over southern areas should mean it stays dry here. Sunday sees a secondary push of the low pressure pushing some rain across all parts of the UK.
