There are two things i find pointless...

1. Looking out the window and making conclusive comments, 5 days before the gates open particularly when no where near Pilton...

2. Waiting for Countryfile - they don't have new or secret information that JACKONE or anyone with the internet hasn't got already. In fact it's not live so prerecorded and behind the times...

And to the people making sweeping comments like "it's going to be a mudbath", please learn to read...At the moment it's looking OK, maybe some showers, a little mud one day, then prob drying out for rest of festival..Get a grip

:D *Gives a cheery wave to all*

Hi everyone! Just wanted to not miss out and post in The Thread of 2011. My considered opinion is: We is gonna be alright. Especially now the Eclipse has been and gone. In my considered and unscientific opinion: Major moon activity, combined with other stuff, always brings prodigal rainfall. Most interesting astrological chart-stuff from Midsummer 2005 (full moon almost at midsummer day in sign of Aquarius, the water-bearer)..

Anyway, Glasto is as much a challenge in steaming heat as it is in pouring rain..honest!

*This post was brought to you with no scientific learning whatsoever*

Happy Festival to all! B)

Whilst it's true a bit of rain won't ruin your festival, I've specifically paid for a DRY festival and having only been last year, I do NOT expect to be let down.

It's going to rain some more beforehand, we know that.

By Thursday though, it'll be well on the way to Dustbowl 2011.

NFR, NFC.

I think it's going to be bone dry and 30c. :)

@Randonm Circle, your opinion is no less considered or scientific than the stuff various met offices make up through the year.

I'm expecting it to be all-sorts, but cold. Look lets face it, the weathermen just roughly make this stuff up until 24 hours before the fact, they've got to say something about what the weather will be in a week's time, because there'll always be somebody somewhere whose going on holiday in a week's time and think it's possible to predict weather that far into the future with any degree of accuracy, but in reality, it's like they have a roulette wheel with rain, sun, wind, fog etc. on it, they spin the wheel and then make a prediction, they have a 1 in X chance of being right, if they are, everybody says, "Oooh! They were right! Aren't we humans clever." and if they're not, everybody hates them. That's the science of weather prediction in a nutshell.
