Hmm they were good (6?) years ago on the sunday, but at sonisphere the general thing was, they were brilliant for the fans, but not so good for anyone else as they played way too many new stuff.

And i think you're misinformed, as they haven't played download recently.

IM will either play DL or R/L depending on their next announcement on tour dates. nuf said

Doubt it'll happen, in the 30/40 odd years they have been going they've only headlined twice and last time was mostly due to a sudden surge of intrest in them and a lack of other big "heavy" bands that year.

Personally wouldn't mind but I've already seen them before.

Would Love to see maiden at Reading!!!! Not sure how well they would go down with a lot of the crowd these days, but I think they could be brilliant!

I don't like Iron Maiden but there was quite a decent mixed crowd the year they played Leeds last.

i'd rather they didn't, festivals are not your own gigs, and as such they should make the effort to recognise that not everyone there is a maiden fan. Like at leeds they were touring the first couple of albums, and their recent tour promoting the last album in it's entirety (Add that I whilst I enjoy heavy music, I find iron maiden boring as hell).

The crowd at Leeds has changed a bit since they last played. Would they get booked at the moment?

I enjoyed them in '05 but their recent sets haven't been amazingly heavy on the hits, too much new stuff.
