People are clinging onto the Zombie thing even though straight afterwards AC said that he was on, then off & then back on again. Wolfmother haven't self confirmed either, they said they rescheduling shows they'd previously cancelled which includes loads more than just Download.

If any of Rush, Ozzy, The Foos, Greenday etc are announced then I'll take it back but it seems like Copping would be making a noose for his own neck. Especially given he voluteered the info rather than replying to questions.

He hasn't ruled out Tool, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nickelback or Rammstein. There are still headliner options out there.

Wonder if this will be the date of Download's next announcement too....

HMMM sharing a headliner... Remember when System were announced all the European festivals announced them the same day. Last year Aerosmith played both Download and Swedenrock

holy shit how many "nostalgia bands"?

is the new music scene so weak?

helloween, stryper, hawkwind, the cult, mr big, styx, dan reed, overkill etc etc etc

ffs. I hope copping isnt going down the same route. give us bats, bmth, dillinger, architects, feed the rhino, there are so many talented young bands out there.
