Hurricane Festival 2011

Food and beer inside the arena are what you'd expect (rip-off) and the usual Euro festival rules of only being able to take a tetra-pak of drinking with you apply. A lot of regulars empty a carton of juice, fill it with booze and use duct tape to make it into a handbag type thing.

On the campsite there are shops though selling cans of Becks for €1.25 inc. can deposit (you get the 0.25 back when you return the can), they do nice sandwiches as well so it's a good idea to hang around the campsite for as long as you can till the bands start or it can get v.expensive.

jep, under the "Bands" link...that part changes from the current general band links and descriptions to a schedule with times and stages and everything...can also, as said, be printed out quite nicely :)

a few are still to be announced, but I don't think that anyone "big" will be amongst any announcements.

Normally the last bands are announced when the timetable is made available. so probably within the next week or two.

Hello! :)

To anyone who bought tickets from ticketzone.co.uk I got mine in the post a few days ago and I live in Belfast. My boyfriend and I are flying from Belfast to Stansted then Stansted to Bremen - cost about £65 all in! We looked into flying straight from Dublin but was so expensive.

I usually head to Rock Im Park but thought I'd try something different this year! Went to Oxegen last year and the weather was absolutely miserable, especially considering the price you pay for the tickets! :(

So excited - roll on June!

Abs.

Oh I know especially in Ireland but the weather was the worst i've ever seen at a festival - perhaps I've just been lucky every other year! :)

So who is on everyone's to see list?

I must see Arctics, Vaccines, Foos

Would like to see Friendly Fires, Kaiser Chiefs, My Chemical Romance, Glasvegas, Band of Horses

I have seen Arcade Fire and Kasabian a few times..so if they clash with any of my musts I will make the sacrifice - but would love to see them both again.

And then there are the bands would love to check out if they don't clash with the others!

Any recommendations of must sees that I may not be familiar with?

Sucks about Blink - really wanted to see them
