Hop Farm Festival 2011 !

My guess is that they're imagining Sunday's audience will be very different to the other two days, almost a stand-alone day, which is possibly why it wasn't announced along with the other two, even as a day with no line-up if that was the case. Yes, existing ticket holders could add the Sunday but most of the audience will be day trippers I'd imagine.

I've got a ticket for Saturday/Sunday. Can anyone advise whether it's worth going up on the Friday night just to the campsite? Is there anything much going on if you don't have a ticket to get into the main music area?

Last year we arrived Friday evening, set up camp in the almost empty second field (however it starts to fill up, but not completely), there is shops and food in the first field and some food in the second. There is a campsite stage in the first field. Btw the walk from both fields is very short.

I always wonder why people come for the weekend for Hop farm as the acts are so different. Vince Power seems to book anything he thinks will sell tickets, regardless of how they fit in together. Surely no one who wants to see Morrissey is interested in The Eagles - or the other way round. I find it baffling.

Did you have any problems arriving Friday evening, what type of ticket did you have? I have purchased Sat/Sun tickets and would like to arrive Friday evening to set up camp but I am worried that I may not be allowed in as I don't have a Friday ticket. Is the campsite separate to the entertainment? I have paid the £30 for camping which covers the whole time I believe.

If it's your first time be warned that the queues for the toilets and bars can get very long, because it is not amazingly well organised.

No, I think that it is the festival organisers to blame and that they should have hired more. There is no way that I blamed the bars.

prince will have his own security? all weekend it seems prince will have his own security force on site, taking the place of the normal security foke.

my mum's best mates boyfriend, was all ready to go to hop farm to do the security. before he was issued with an email 3 days ago confirming that he would not be needed due to prince bringing his own security. he rang up he's place of work expecting to be told he would be still be able to work friday and saturday, but they said no. due to mr purple bringing his own security.
