windy_miller
But what exactly is the difference between a Civil Partnership and a marriage in a registry office?
windy_miller
Isn't refusing them a civil partnership classed as discrimination?
RABun
The only difference i believe is that they say husband and wife in a marriage ceremony and they say civil partners or something in a civil partnership ceremony. And yes there should be just one civil ceremony for all. Religious types can carry on as they like. Edited October 29, 2010 by RABun
rachbon
i don't see why they have different ceromonies for gay and straight people anyway. just let anyone have a civil partnership or a marriage.
