Last time I saw Brett Anderson playing Leeds was when The Tears headlined the Radio 1 in 2005. It was tragic, small crowd and a bunch of hecklers shouting for Suede songs or Elastica songs made even worse when they were shouting over a song Anderson was dedicating to his recently deceased father.

For the record they were amazing and the small crowd there to see them clearly enjoyed seeing Brett Anderson and Bernard Butler back on stage together again.

I would say Suede would get a much better reception as they have alot more recognisable hits, personally I'd say a Radio 1 headline slot would suit, even if they didn't pack out the tent at least the people there watching them would have an amazing time.

That RAH gig was immense. They actually played metal mickey and there was a 3/4 minutes standing ovation from the crowd in the middle of the track. And they played 'the living dead' which obviously sounded superb. Youtube clips from the Ritz from the night before look great as well and the reviews from Bush Hall last week were also extremly complimentary. Really considering the o2 gig atm.

I'd love for them to be on the bill. They do have quite a few well known hits in Beautiful ones, Animal Nitrate and Shes in Fashion as well as a few other top 10 hits so theres no denying their catalogue. It's just that since Neil's reported they're only doing one festival, I just can't see R+L's bringing the cash to the table to bring them to there instead of the others. I'd say 3rd mainstage and though I reckon they'd get a decent crowd, the probable cost would outweigh the cost for other bands they can get in to fill the slot and FR don't strike me as the type to pay over the odds for a 3rd frm top mainstage act. I really really hope they prove me wrong.

I think we could get some good sub headliners and third fourth sort of bands this year Pixies maybe, manics, soad could possibly do a libertines type of set because if you think about they did pretty much do a headlining set. also the coral have a new album, rumours for a new cure album ( would obviously headline ), beck, death cab, black keys etc what do people reckon

I'm hoping a few of the following play this year.

The Offspring, Manchester Orchestra, Stone Sour, Manics, Pulp, Feeder, Nine Black Alps, Dinosaur Pile Up, Reuben(the return of), Jimmy eat world, the specials, velvet revolver(did i hear rumours of the getting back together), the king blues, Dinosaur Jr.

Oooh, Suede what an amazing set they could produce headlining the NME tent. Still Latitude does need headliners and I wouldn't be surprised if they did that instead.

The perennially touted Offspring would be amazing as third from top/Nme Headliner. Silversun pickups somewhere on the mainstage or high up in the lock-up would be fantastic. Jimmy eat world, Manic Street Preachers both would be brilliant to see.
