And Gazza, to you I say Ive been on these boards since they started and Ive seen a HELL of a lot of people come and go saying they know the line up, and usually they have only just joined and then disappear never to be seen again.

The problem with this guy is usually its just a little bit of info that gets leaked and the person reporting it gets it right, but this OKB is talking about all festivals, all sorts of acts and im pretty sure that if this guy was as privvy to all this knowledge about all these different fests, Neil/efests would know it as well or wouldn't be too far behind.

The fact that he ignored my comment earlier only adds to the reasoning that I think he's talking absolute bullshit, he may get something right but it would be guesswork, watch I can do it right here right now

Ozzy is booked as a Download headliner, so is System of a Down.

I've been told they're in negotiations with In Flames, You Me At Six, Avenged Sevenfold and Rob Zombie

Stone Sour have been booked at Sonsiphere, and will headline second stage or sub on main stage, or maybe even headline Friday depending on other acts booked

V festival are in talks with The Script for a mian stage spot, also they've booked Claire Maguire who is being tipped as the next big thing in the pop world, and the big alternative act they've booked is Interpol

Foo Fighters Isle of Wight exclusives, wasn't actually said at the start, so with this info, I do actually have a slight doubt in them at downlaod myself now, also rhcp apparantly aren't touring next year.

Pretty much 15 pages of Gazza_20 going "will they play?" and another guy going "maybe".

What we're doing now is no different to what we're doing on countless other threads; which is, discussing who we want as headliners and using the process of elimination to determine what big Rock bands are touring next year around the end of August.

In other words, we know absolutely f**k all, and if we did, eFestivals would know first, and they wouldn't hesitate in giving us all of the relevant information because it would be streamed down the side there (------->) almost as soon as they find out, which is more than I can say for some clueless delusional twat like OKB who dodges every question aimed at him and can't justify or respond to any of the criticism.

We find out when eFestivals find out - why? Because that's their job; to find out. I wasn't here last year in 2009, the year before and so on, but if I'm walking down the street and some hopelessly nondescript guy suddenly pops out of nowhere and offers to give me exclusive insight into something, I tend to use my common sense to tell him to f**k off or face the risk of sarcasm.

OKB knows about as much as we do when it comes to the headliners, he's just giving a few gullible people with awful taste in music the chance to masturbate to their favourite shit bands, and a few people like me the chance to tell him how much of a pointless chubby little sea urchin he is by talking out of his arse.

I'm actually amazed this thread has gone on for as long as it has, to be honest.It's like - people are saying, "is X band confirmed..." and the guy says "I'll contact my mate and ask" and then that's about the only thing we hear for a bit, and then suddenly a band name gets dropped and people go mental. He hasn't provided any sources or any real sound reason for not giving sources since day one with this thread - it's just a bunch of band names that seem semi-plausible. I won't say that he's bullshitting...

Well, actually, yes I will. He's bullshitting. It's just a bit of a pisstake to get people in the mood. If I went on to a message board relating to the Reading and Leeds Festival with sound information that suggested who the headliners were, I'd confirm it in a microsecond and THEN give the basis of the facts because of how relevant said information is. The only thing that stops people from giving sources is usually because they have none. This guy knows about as much as we do.

Why would anybody lie? Just to be trolls mainly. Cause a fuss. Be a nuisance. People 'need to know' certain things and they'll be prepared to take anything so long as it gives them an idea of what's to be expected, and all you have to do is go to the main Leeds and Reading news section to see what's to be expected in 2011 - "Expect a line-up of rock, alternative, indie, punk and metal."
